Hey, what's your Sundeal?

No idea but hopefully it’s worked out well

assembling bikes successfully with bamboo tubes requires all of the same skills, materials, and process control as building with carbon fiber tubes

selecting and curing the bamboo tubes doesn’t require nearly as much infrastructure as manufacturing woven carbon fiber tubes, but is riskier unless you reject the vast majority of the bamboo through the process

and if they’re still dependent on an outside source of headtubes / bottom brackets / dropouts or the consumable bike parts to hang on the frame, how is this not just a chinese factory with extra steps?

pretty sure I have an extra one of these in a box at a friend’s shop

should be a pretty tight fit to cram into the bifurcated seat tube with some epoxy, and you’d cut as much of the thin/bottom end off as you can

it would be compatible with standard toppers, but you’d likely be happier with a turducken of seatpost in seattube in seattube

Some folks here are talking about starting bike polo back up this summer, and I’m trying to decide if using a minivelo would be awesome or dumb.

hey why dont you go ahead and do this to your katu

Sounds like you need a co-op fixie conversion. Any hub is a fixed hub if you try hard enough.

no I’m gonna move the OEM 170mm dropper from my MTB over to my Katu

I still have these two bikes. They sit in the basement of my moms house in rural Wisconsin. Haven’t touched them in probably 10 years. The folding Bridgestone is pretty cool.

i want that bridgestone

Until you pick it up. The thing is like 35 lbs. Folds by squeezing the spring loaded seatstays. Customer had called and said “our apartment complex has some bikes by the curb”. A few wallmart bikes and this gem. It’s belt drive and yes it planes.

i still dont have my katu back (looks like maybe friday) so do one of you clown bike enthusiasts mind measuring the seatpost length for ol’ spaghetti?

thank u mr

whats everyones favorite 500mm chair pole lol

What are you up to?

i just want to cover that small gap that probably would have kept the failure from happening had my chairpole been at a lower height. i think 500mm is probably unnecessary, ordering a crappy 450mm joint and will report if i can get it low enough.

so excited to have another black bike!

dropper post!

i think this would work theoretically but also requires a second pole purchase

i have so much bike stuff to buy that my boss has denied my proposed dropper budget
