that might be one of the ugliest bikes in the universe.
Unless it was ALWAYS upside down, then it would be a distress signal…and make a lot of sense.

I’m about to make a NOS Schwinn Paramount PDG into a conversion. I’ll be ordering the wheel tomorrow.[/quote]
This is what I ride, and I love it.
Which one of you owns this Cinelli Super Corsa conversion?
Ugh…I’m gonna drop a barf. Did he powdercoat it!
“dyed to match” tape? Looks like dirt to me.
I have a feeling it isn’t a Cinelli since there aren’t any close up pics of the lugs. Daly City is really close to where I live, I should check it out.
It gone. Gone it be.
wow lots of interesting stuff in this tread.
so is it a mortal sin if i take a super vitus gitane frame (no fork, bb, etc.) that i got from a dood and grind the shifter bosses off, polish the lugs, paint it all pretty and build up a singlespeed townie bike for a (girl) friend with a budget of $500? (theres no way i’ll get anywhere near that)
i did say, 'you know you could get a pretty decent new bike for that…right? ’ but she wants me to build it for her for some reason, and i do like workin on bikes… win/win i guess.
I guess its official guys, if you dont wanna shell for a track frame and you dont like gears your just fucked and need to find a new hobby
Aw shucks.
good point. the next bike i build is gonna be a fucking fixed folder with no brakes and track drops…with ourys on the TOPS and im gonna ride sylvans with NO FOOT RETENTION.
It seems like every conversion out there has Deep-V’s, even if it’s a Huffy with a one piece crank and banana seat.
Why are people spending $250 for wheelsets that are going to go on garbage picked frames? Part of a great conversion IMO is using the original parts tactfully and tastefully.
fuck…i’m guilty of the deep v’s on a pos. the day i found them i had the cash and it wasn’t enough for a nice frame. am i the only one that would rather have nice wheels on shit frame than a nice frame with shit wheels? that not to say that i’m not dying for a nice frame.
I’m in the same boat.
If you go on ebay and look for fixed wheels, the only options are weinnmain/velocity, those cheapo fixed/free jokes, or randoms. Shit in the shops is worse/more expensive…
Its all about Weinnmain they are way cheaper then velocity thats what I put on my Raleigh Grand Prix conversion.
Wow, your bike must be 23lb now huh. Might as well kept the box rims and derailleurs.
You should change your username to andre tarckatina.
Tried, didn’t let me.
jim will do it for you
