an 80’s mongoose or something, like this. plastic sp0k is a must.
there is a bike very similar to that hanging from the ceiling in one of my favorite local dive/sports bars. i might have a picture somewhere…
There’s an amazing 26" cruiser sitting in The Hub in Providence. One day, I will own that bike.
Can you really call it tarcked out? I think BMX originated the bike ridiculosity now associated with tarck barspinno bieks.
Anyway, yes, you’re looking for Skyway mags. While I was in a shop the other day I saw that Mirraco now has a bike with plastic mags. It made me scratch my head.
Yeah, these bikes before tarck even existed.
Of course tarck is basically about stealing other shit and calling it your own anyway, i.e. early 90’s MTB trends, 80’s BMX trends, et al.
Thre was like four of those at the flea market I went to this morning
buy me one and i will pay you. there’s one im stalking out on ebay.
and yeah i know these were tarck before tarck even existed, i just thought it would be an ironic way to refer to them haha

haha, ride it. i dunno. i’ve just always loved how they looked since i was a kid. my neighbor had a 1980 mongoose that i was super jealous of. i had a diamondback joker but it was a more modern style one and i have no idea what happened to it…
hows this?
http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/bik/981638670.html
that’s pretty awesome even though i hate yellow… i love the ridiculous hanger bars.
the hub, or legend bikes? the hub moved, and where the hub was (brook street) is legend bikes now. the new hub is awesome
well i’m gonna keep my eyes open for a tarcked out old school bmx bike in the post your bikes thread.
i want this so bad:
the wheels are so tacky which rules.
growing up i had a chrome mongoose w/ black mags. shit was so dope.

Didn’t know that. It was this past summer.
You know the one thing I can’t stand about BMX bikes? Everything just looks low quality on so much of the stuff. 1 piece cranks, heavy steel frames, hard plastic saddles, seat guts seatposts, stamped brake calipers, etc. We tend to use much, much higher quality parts just for riding around town on our track bikes.
edit: I also hate how fit isn’t really taken into consideration. Ever.
yeah but that also makes them cool haha
I want a BMX in general with a front mag
