I went for a ride today and here are some photos

Hard to tell, but the corner drops from the root to the buried rock.
Real good transition, but you have to go sloooow.

That reminds me of a thing in chuckanut out by Frank. Looks great because the dirt looks soft and pliable if you eat it lol.

I tried to get a photo of the rock feature of confusing scale today but failed to get a helpful one except maybe this one of what you see as you approach it:

Knob reinstalled:

I took a few minutes to move it to and fro and think I made my fork stop killing my hands.

This is not as large as that rock drop on double black because there is no gap really you are dropping straight down.

I have almost no time to take pictures on these rides . Just quick snaps before it’s back to dodging potholes

Woke up at 4 feeling terribly anxious so instead of staring at my phone until it was time to go to work I got a ride in

Hey @spaghetti, remember when we rode to 3Floyds in the middle of frikkin winter?
I can’t believe I rode that old trek with the bar bag all that way. That thing had the worst shimmy with any weight on the fork!

A most excellent day

Where is this?

Arnold Arboretum in JP(boston)

47 miles today, my longest ride in like 2 years by a long shot. First 25 was 99% bike path & rail trail out to Concord & Walden pond, then 10 miles on quiet country roads before finishing the final tarck century mostly along the Charles River. Managed to route myself past some ice cream, chocolate vanilla swirl chocolate dip saved my life 35 mile in.

I’m spent, but my new cockpit felt great. Absolutely adore this bike!!!

Tell us aout that OiZ

Took Ro for a rainy Tarck century to and from a ridiculous play place in Evanston.

Our friends’ baby is the most adorable little butter bean ever I’m obsessed

I was pleasantly surprised to find an ample, parking protected bike lane on Dodge all the way to Howard. Of course it disappeared as I crossed back into the city and it turned into California.

It’s a 2019 OMR Oiz in the 120 mm travel variety. I bought the frame and 34SC fork off of eBay from a guy that was using it as a gravel bike. The shock was way over pressure, to the point where I think he damaged the linkage. I had to get it warrantied last year when I had it in for service. The build is pretty boring. An SLX group and TRP Slate brakes.

It’s a serviceable trail bike. I’d say I spend at least 50% of my trail time on it. I underbike it sometimes, but the 68deg HA makes it kinda dicey for steep stuff.

Rode to a fishing spot. Caught a few cutthroat the rode to a swimming hole/waterfall nearby. There were sooo many people there. Ran into some friends. Someone decided to get a keg so we went back to their house got a keg, grilled two whole chickens and watched a meteor shower.

I’ve never heard of someone picking up a keg on a whim before.
