New wheels for the NFE means I’m back commuting. Autumn in Sydney goes alright.
Is that Dick Lane?
Rode a mtb with gear shifting capabilities for the first time today. Sure makes getting to/from the trail a heck of a lot better. Didn’t instantly make me a better rider which is a bummer but whatchagonnado.
Against everyone’s advice, I rode to our local comic book convention which is at McCormick Place.
One of the McCormick buildings literally touches the lakefront trail, so I’d figured it would be easy to get to the convention from there. I ended up in a staging area for vendors and then in this wild tunnel
After some wandering, I found my way to a place where I could get under lakeshore drive and over the freight train tracks. I found my way to the entrance by following a river of nerds.
Everything that I read online said that there was no bike parking at McCormick place but these racks were like 25 feet from the entrance
On the way home, I got to ride the entirety of the new Dearborn bike lane. It is glorious.
All in all I rode 30 miles and walked around the con floor for several hours. My legs are kinda cooked!
enlighten me about that bumper sticker on your dt
