It’s sketchy right?!?
I almost ate it there one night at 2am after getting shaken out of bed by an on-call call from work.

One of you has to have a battery powered angle grinder

I have a cordless sawzall and a cordless circular saw, both would do the job in a jiffy but this was less likely to get me hassled than cutting the end of the bench off.

Had my bachelor party this weekend. Filled the time with a bunch of riding, lots of hangs, great eating, and various substances. It was so cool to bring together people from various lives past and current, all of whom got on well and had fun ripping each others’ legs off. We rented a house in Malibu (part way up a brutally steep climb) and had pretty perfect Cali spring weather: cool and misty while riding, clear skies and sun while we were hanging.

We only had to go 3 blocks.
It was a lot of kiddo.

Rode out to the south fork of the Boise River. Never done this ride on a weekend - lots of trucks, trailers, motorbikes and a few side by sides. Most of those folks were considerate. They got a peace sign and smiles from me.

A sometimes dusty but beautiful 38 miles and a little more than 3900 ft. climbing. Wildflowers were starting to bloom.

Post ride treat

Rode the same trails I always ride on monday, love how green everything is right now.

shopbroed the cheapest al reserve wheels to go 29er on this stooge, it’s nice not falling into every hole on the trail, especially when climbing, but the 27’s were just as fun, just a different feel. I’ll definitely be revisiting them this summer. This thing rips btw, it’s not just some atb bikepacking bike, I’m riding it super hard and hitting the same drops and big tech features I did on my hardtail

Rode probably 80% of the local bike path network today and ended up with 40 miles. I haven’t spent that long on a fixed gear maybe ever and my legs are still jello.

Got completely drenched and my bike is a mess but getting caught in a warm spring rain isn’t the worst thing in the world.
