I went for a ride today and here are some photos

Feeling fortunate to have this little singletrack rip 30 min drive from home. It’s my closest proper lap and the trail builders did a great job making a mountain out of a molehill. I even managed to full on 2 wheel roost a catch berm. Yeehaw.

This little one did not want to get off of the road at all. I know the pavement was warm but I really didn’t want it to get smooshed.

One of our state rec areas has an active sand mine way on the south end of it. The state has let the mountain bike association build trails around the fenced off area, and they call it The Badlands. It’s our only all season all weather trail, thanks to the sand. Given the snow and subsequent thaw we decided to ride here. Conditions were perfect, especially on a plus or fat bike. We ended up riding about 10 miles / 500’ of elevation, which is almost all of it in the Badlands. Since it’s all grassy dunes there’s lots of little bonus lines that we didn’t hit since it was dark. But it’s so nice to have this zone, even if it’s 50 minutes away.
