I went for a ride today and here are some photos

I have a few left, but I didn’t put one on the sign. It may have been one of my riding buddies that I passed them around to, or another Tarcker.

Nice to get out on the scorcher today.

Soderberg shot an entire movie on the iPhone 7. It’s titled “Unsane” if you’re ever wondering.

That’s rad. Is it the Atlanta Motor Speedway? I used to drive by it all the time when I’d go see my dad in Griffin. I imagined it would be super interesting and also hella boring to ride around. How was it? How was the surface?

Yep they renamed it now lol. No not boring at all, super smooth, I averaged 23mph over 20mi. We had a nice A group train going.

I had a lot of fun, it was a nice change from the craters, cars and hills around Atlanta lol. If that’s the only place I was riding, I could see it getting boring after while but it was such a change from what I normally do. Very unique experience

You ever do six mile run over there?

never have but I’ve read about it being just off the canal trail south of bound brook

The whole thing is terra cotta. I’ve never ridden anything like it

We didn’t really manage any multi-day touring this summer, so we opted for a winter credit-card tour this weekend. We did 78 miles up the coast yesterday to a nice inn whose winter rates are much more reasonable than summer rates. The inn serves both dinner and breakfast, which is a good thing since it is out on a point with nothing else around. We made really good time and got there by 2 pm, with a couple hours of daylight to explore the adjacent conservation land (saw a porcupine!). Today we rode back a slightly different route. Each day involved over a mile of cumulative climbing but our high point was 304’ above sea level. 31℉ at the start yesterday, but most of the riding was around 40℉ which was pretty manageable.

When I told this guy I liked his signs, he said, “I don’t really fit in around here. But I keep the neighbors on their toes!”

Rode the last Ciclavia of the year yesterday. Only 10 miles but my legs are absolutely wrecked including Saturday’s 40 miler.
