I went for a ride today and here are some photos

Was there a s24o, brevet, or tour in Cape Henlopen, Delaware this weekend? We spent the weekend there and were walking around when we saw an Endpoint out front, VO Polyvalent in Lilac with Honjos, Masi Rando, and a whole bunch of baskets/handlebar bags. Pretty awesome to see among a sea of beach cruisers.

proper adventure bikes in Delaware?

not even remotely possible. were you on acid or something?

I guess my artisanal #coffeeoutside must have been spiked. But I promise it was real.

That was us!

Just came here to post about it actually! We did an overnight ride from Philly to Cape May and took the ferry over to Lewes and then back the next day, around 230 miles over 48 hours. It’s called the Cape May Dyno and happens annually. This was by far the biggest ride yet with 20 great goofy bike nerds.

I knew it couldn’t be delaware people.

How was it? I’m assuming you took Rt. 9 for the majority of your route? That’s a beautiful road.

And… I’m assuming once Rt. 9 ended you were in for a brutal awakening?

edit: I got the route backwards.

Hopefully you did cycle 9 though.

Did some people make a bike tour of it with camping or was it more of a credit card type rando event?

For the trip down we were inland until hitting Cape May, but we took 9 for a short stretch on the return trip

Most folks camped at Delaware Sea Short State Park, but me and a few others stayed at my parents’ house in Rehoboth.

In previous years this ride did the overnight ride to Cape May and then continued back up to Atlantic City where we’d take the train back. The train line recently shut down so we made a weekend out of it.

OH

I thought that you rode down in JerZ and then back to philly via Hellaware.

This makes a lot more sense, because quite frankly cycling anywhere in DE is pretty awful.

(End)point Diner!

Looks neat. Love a bike-ferry combo.

Can’t let Juge have all the fun. Courtesy of a driver moving into the bike lane to park on my way home…

collarboner hugs.

Found photos of my splatterbike post impact #2 last night. sad.

Goddamnit! Bro hugs and healing vibes!

Sorry to hear about the collision. Drivers in Seattle were terrible yesterday. Had some near misses on commutes both ways.

bummer

Awesome I miss Philly so much.

Funny that the BFB was your highest elevation. I used to ride to Wildwood and would use 47 for part of it, don’t remember the exact route but it was a lot of fun. Would go over the North Wildwood bridge and there were always tons of Ospreys and shit.

I joke that you can see the ocean from the BFB. It really can’t be that much of an exaggeration.

Thanks bros, stay safe out there

found an apple tree on yesterday evening’s ride
literally the best apples I have eaten & will ever eat
