I went for a ride today, here are some pictures (old)

^reminds me of Elmira, southern NY where they mined some mineral to use in something during WWII. Awesome.

It’s High Cliffs State Park on the northeast shore of Lake Winnebago. The cliffs are part of the Niagra Escarpment, which is the massive landform that stretches to New York. Niagra Falls gives it it’s name.

making me feel homesick. what are you doing in Wisconsin?

Visiting wife’s family and friends. She’s from here. Also interviewing for a job in Madison.

I don’t have a very capable photo taking device
but rode near this pretty cool mountain and stuff

Which forest road is that?

the one that parallels lolo pass and connects over to lost lake rd. not sure the name, i think it said NF 1810 on the map. it’s the one to the right when you hit the fork at the pct trailhead on lolo.

lots of nice views today

A few of my panorama shots from the Pyrenees:

Above Port de Bales (almost the top of col visible on far right of photo).

Top of Aspin looking East.

Heading up the Aubisque at dusk and between storms.

Really dug these three peaks (from near top of Aubisque looking East).

Need to get up there asap.

Making me miss Oregon pretty hard.

Man, Oregon is awesome.
Illinois:

That’s where I was born / grew up. I have no idea what you’re talking about though. Apparently I need to do some research!

You AND Fred are from East coast? How many of you PNW people are transplants damn it?! And how long before I join you (I mean, I guess I’ve already moved West)?

Nebraska checking in.

PS what happened to the post count/name/location info that used to be under the avatars?

Missouri, here.

Missouri by way of California. Exactly one of my friends is local.

West Seattle. My dad grew up in west Seattle, too. I went to Garfield in the CD, then Seattle Central, and lived on both cap hill and Queen Anne for years.

Wisconsin, now in Seattle.
