People have been saying “fixee” since before most of you Emo douche nozzles were born. When you got you first fixed gear you called it a fixee! You fucking know you did! Talking about the Zen! and the simplicity! Then you decided it was more than that! Like it deserved more respect! You run an online crusade denouncing “fixee” from forum dialog, right under the Top Tube pad thread!

Let me explain what’s next! You realize it is just a fucking bike! and Fixee is a decent way to refer to it! You realize that you spend 95% of your on road riding on a fully geared road bike! You grow up and realize that sometimes simple if fucking limiting!

How is “fixed gear” really any better anyway? why don’t you call it your “track bike that has never seen a fucking track cause im a pussy, and id rather ride around at 12mph, cause any faster and I cant stop, cause i dont have brakes”? Too long? shorten it! Maybe to fixed gear, or Fixee! even better!

Whenever I say “fixed gear” I feel like the kid in Chemistry class who’d say wolfram instead of tungsten. I mean, I was that kid in Chemistry class, so I only say “fixed gear”, but still, nobody should be like me.

OP should find something constructive to do with his time. Generally I just call it a bike, because thats what it fuckin is.

Calm down. No one is stopping you from calling it a fixy.
I usually say “fixed-gear” or “fixed bike” unless I’m joking around. In which case I shout “FIIIXXXIIEEEE!!!” to everyone I see riding one.
