I’ve used this on the last few wheels. Works pretty well and the length of the nub is adjustable. You just have to supply the spoke to make the nub.

Finally. I sat on these partially finished at 70% tension because I was using my bike as a work stand and didn’t have a dishing tool, and planned to go to a co-op to finish them up. After a couple weeks of zero action I bucked up and finished them on the bike at home, then it took another week for the shop to tape the rims and mount the tires. Just noticed they mounted the rear backwards lol
I’ve struck out twice so far on cassettes due to dummies on eBay and have one more on the way, hopefully this one goes on with no issues.

Terrible question but bear with me here
For context: I have two 135mm offset fatbike frames. One is a Pugsley that is built up and has 26fat and 29plus wheels, the othet is a 9zero7 that isn’t built up. I’ve been hoarding the weird 135mm offset parts for a while so I’ve got all the weird parts necessary to build up the 9zero7, and I’ve decided I’m going to take the 26fat wheels and have it as a bike to leave at my in-laws. I don’t think I’ll have a need for another set of 26fat wheels, but I have another set of 26fat rims that Surly basically made me take when I bought the Pugsley frame so who knows.
Anyway, I feel like that’s finally my excuse to locate and hoard one of these:
I have a Feedback sports truing stand, where you clamp the wheel into the stand using a skewer or a TA adapter. The above tool would not work with this. But it would work with my dishing tool (I think… That may be a separate issue lol). But I would not need this tool to lace up and true an offset wheel in a one-sided truing stand, right? I figure I need to get the tool as part of the cost of being a deadender but it seems more necessary for dishing than for truing.
