do they not import the brass ones to the US?
The brass ones are $0.10 more at cost than the similar non secure lock Sapim and still a few cents more than the secure lock ones.
I’m sure someone does them in bulk but QBP only does boxes of 20.
I just get the Sapim ones 500+ at a time when ordering spokes.
I’m sure they are fine… but the aluminum ones that ship with nicer DT rims go straight into the recycling bin.

I have WTB Asym i35s, no complaints. I think when I built them, i45 was the next size up and there was a significant weight penalty. Obviously if the bike warrants carbon, go carbon.
My bike is a trash heap that continues to blow me away with how thoroughly fine it all works.
I would, but I can’t figure out what it does. Are the bars close enough together that only 15g nipples can drop through them to be flush with the head?

The narrow part of the nipple slips through but the head sticks up allowing one to grasp the nipple in the correct orientation for installation.

Yes. You dump a handful of nipples onto the deck and shake it a bit; the nipples that don’t go sailing off will fall nose-first into the slots and get stuck in just the right place to pick up with a nipple-setter tool.
(not actually the plot of an online porn movie, though rule 34 may have something to say about this.)
Seriously though the Wheel Fanatic shuffler is so perfect. It’s one of my favorite tools to use.
Nipple sorter would also be a good name for a porn search tool.
