Which 1/4?
Anyone come up with a clever nipple shuffler, but for ENVE nips?
And one of these, but for the same nips?

Is there a reason to not get these
I might post this to DQ or trek shop bro thread
I have this hub
Do replacement cassette bodies exist?
My wheel shartq:
I’d like to replace the tb-14s on my Pelican with silver Kinlin xr26t.
Hubs are 6700 and son deluxe.
Do I want Asymmetrical rear?
Do I upgrade the rear hub? Hub is in fine shape, currently running 10 speed; if I want to do 11 I can use a 11-34 correct?
I’ll probably service the rear and if it’s not pitted or damaged just keep it. Never given me a day of problems and is dead silent (which I love)
Asym rear is fine if it brings joy and in theory it’s stronger. I had an asym xr22t and it didn’t taco, but neither did the symmetrical rim I used later on the same wheel. The downside of asym is extra faff because now your two rims are different, but maybe they’re already 24-28 and it makes no difference. My randonneuse is 32-32 and having the exact same rim front n rear makes my personal supply chain simpler. That said you can generally replace a toasted asym rear rim with something symmetrical and reuse spokes if the asym version is unavailable.
Ultegra 6600 is just such a great hub, if it isn’t pitted i would hope your 6700 didn’t mess anything up. I think it’s not unreasonable to reuse it. And yeah it can handle 11speed with a randonneuring suitable 32-34 ish cassette so you’re likely good.
DT makes their endcaps in this configuration
basically just for Specialized and Peter Verdone
Tried to get hub dimensions from Specialized:
Unfortunately our team does not have access to that specific of specs on these OE wheels/hubs. The manufacturer of the wheels in Asia does not disclose this information. Their argument with sharing this with us is that they do not want another manufacturer to produce the same wheel and undercut their price. I hate to send you to a shop but they should be able to get those specific measurements done for you. Sorry for the inconvenience, this is something we have been trying to gain access to for some time with no luck.
sounds like you need to get some detailed measurements and then produce the same wheel out of spite
my brother in christ, you sell the wheels!
if your team has “been trying to gain access” to the measurements “for some time”, you could simply take your own advice and take one off the peg to measure yourself!
Amazing. Would be great to have as an email screenshot rather than a copypasta (for re-posting elsewhere).
that shop is going to freak the fuck out when they hear about digital calipers
@iwillbe this is Big S, even, not the shitty ebike shop
honestly I appreciate the effort they went to to go to no effort
Is this like S just puts their name on some frames and parts from suppliers and some other contractor assembles and ships and S employees never actually see or touch these things at all?
This is most of the industry, no?
field trip to Morgan Hill to find out?
That’s one thing i like about living in SF, so many companies are based here that i can always just show up at their office if i’m not getting good support.
