is that like a mini air raid siren with a tiny fan?
I have no idea
And I’m hoping there’s some nerd with a youtube video about it, will search later.
I have the thru-axle version (DH-UR705-3D) and switching the light off is real, so the wheel free spins 1 rotation with light on, but with light off, free spins like 4 times
I have the same on my day/ruiner, not many miles on it yet, but very much a fan of that hub so far.
And whoa, didn’t realize the UR700 was just the q/r version of the UR705. The description of the 705 I was going from (not Shimano’s site) didn’t list the low dragginess of the hub, but is for the 705.
i’m just guessing but the font of all knowledge sez it’s tru

With the Sugru, fine, but I haven’t really soaked it for hours.
Felt like sharing my wiring situation now that I’ve cleaned it up just a little. I like it but I need to figure out something other than zip ties.
i need a coily orange boy
All you need to make it coil is a hair dryer and a pencil
I just use a round shank screwdriver and my hands. Wrap it real tight then squeeze and rub it with my hands till it wants to stay coiled up. Hair drier is a good idea, would make it set up better I’d imagine. This is 16ga stranded wire, seems to hold its shape pretty well with minimal effort.
Not encouraged by the complete lack of info on their product website. Rebranded SP?

EDIT: Looks like that website hasn’t been updated since 2016 (based on the news tab), and that it appears to be a Wiggle brand?
https://www.wiggle.com/prime-audax-650b-alloy-dynamo-wheelset/
And per Q&A on wiggle page it leads here along with some entertaining copy that describes it’s “oak-barrel-like exterior” and “delicate and high quality spirit,” for the dynamo connoisseurs:
Looks like an so and kasai knockoff. Probably made in the same factory as kasai. Probably fine, hopefully cheaper than sp.
My vintage luxos U battery died. It works if I feed it DC at the battery terminals.
Any idea where I can find replacement? Mine has two 802025P 6.4V 150mAH LiFePO4 wired in series.
I’d cut that open, very carefully, and see what the cells are.
hell no I’m not cutting open a puffy battery
It’s just two LiFePO4 pack in series, but my search did not yield result in the tiny sizeway. The light doesn’t work at all without a battery.
Oh, my bad. Didn’t look at the picture closely enough plus my dumb brain forgot about exploding batteries.
ebay/aliexpress
The originals were without the protection board, which I haven’t been able to find though.
