Anyone use one of these?
Looks like a nice mounting solution but barrier to entry is a compatible ritchey stem. I think b+m lights would fit fine despite the marketing language

B&M makes this thing
Probably gotta order it from Germany though
There’s also this thing, depending on your cockpit situation
i have the B&M big plastic bracket on one bike, it’s not bad; the single articulated arm mount for a front lamp is waaaay better
I tried fender mounting a couple times, broke the light both times. It’s just safer for the light to live up by your saddle. I am running radish approved Paul centerpulls on my nord and had to do some bending on a reflector mount to get my light set up but it’s been highly worth it.
Fender mount is the only way! Unless you want to remove your fenders or have none. If you want to remove them just wire in a disconnect.
Yeah this is what I’m thinking. I found the seatpost reflector so I have that option pretty simple.
I’ve taken to tying a milk crate to the deck on my dummy for grocery runs and other shenanigans, so when I thought about it, a seatpost light would probably be blocked pretty frequently. I think I am going to think about how to run the wiring in a modular way to accommodate both fender and seatpost mounts. I guess that means probably wiring a disconnect right around the seatpost collar before running it through the fender.
I’ve also used a basic hardware store L bracket to attach a fender secula to an hourglass boss.
now I feel like trash with my zip tied secula
shameful
Shameful indeed.
Wanted to let u folckx know that I just purchased a UR705 and I’ll probably be able to Pepsi challenge vs a son
Subscribed
I’m really liking the s701 I bought
And seeing no difference in output going from 3.0w to 1.5w
No under side opening. I’ve gotten to this point:
This is great but you should get a M18 or Orcrack
Yeah I should hit up @Orc and run this til it gets here.
15 vs 12 TA question:
Based upon the current dynamo availability it seems like 12 TA is more popular than 15. Given the choice between both is there any advantage of going to 15 on the drop outs then using some sort of endcap spacer to use a 12 dynamo hub?
I am going to send my fork off to be converted from QR to TA since my Schmidt dynamo is dead and not sure what to request.
I see Elephant does 12 right now and Enpoint is using 15
I would do 12
15x100 is dead end. everything is 15x110 for mtb and 12x100 for road-like.
