it's #lit

I pulled the battery out of the holder and took some pics. It feels like there might be four cells total, but I’m not 100% sure.

Thanks for the update, that’s interesting. Excited to see how your review comes out now that I actually read the linked webpage. Light looks like a pretty good option.

I’m looking into getting a proper little remote battery helmet light. I’ve been strapping a 750lumen light with a built in battery to my helmet for a few years now and it’s taking its toll on my neck do my main priority is getting something small and lightweight.

I found this, looks promising. Anyone have any expierence with them?

Gloworm lights are the absolute bomb, you won’t be disappointed.

I have/had their X2, have misplaced the battery pack somewhere and since i got my Moonlight BAD 2000 I haven’t had the “energy” to get a new battery for it. But i really should and have it as a bar mounted light…

Consumed, thanks!

Battery powered friends: has anyone bought a light of amazon recently that they could recommend for mountain bicycling? Thinking a bar mount and a helmet mount since my Bell came with a mount.

I have two of these, they work, mount on stuff fine, and are bright. I doubt it’s a true 1200 lumen but I dunno – they were good enough for me riding around in the winter.

What is the battery life like?

They say “Approximately 3-1/2 Hours on High, 6 hours on medium, 24 hours on Low”, which is about right in my experience. 2.5 to 3 hours is about my limit for a trail ride and I would have light still when I got to back to the trailhead.

oh that’s excellent.

good lord i’m glad i held off on ordering another magicshine after i returned mine that arrived with a busted lens approx 8 years ago. that’s ludicrously cheap for what you get

Wow, much light, very bright

Been messing around with these. Not sure if they’ll keep me from getting creamed by an inattentive driver, but whatever.

My taillight is the bonti flare r. I’ve had two drivers tell me they could see me really well with it. I’ve also ridden in groups with it, and that was probably annoying.

I bought this cause cheap for my beater winter bike, and cause its dark out now, and its shockingly bright with a decent light shape for what it is. Too many light modes, both lights on at the same time are dim, but either side at full power is great for watching out for potholes on city streets at city speeds.

anyone used the kryptonite front lights? extra closeout on Q right now.

Which model/s? I’ve used a couple, and they work well. Some people reported problems with the (Alley-F lights’) mounting straps breaking, but Kryptonite will replace 'em if you contact the company.
