ITT winter bike/biking questions

I traveled over 200 miles to see Tori Amos at Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks with my then girlfriend. Ahhh, to be 18 again.

Haven’t been there since. Sorry for derail…

semi-pro tip: don’t shave then go out in cold on bike.

winter shaving in general is not fun

i scored a burley jacket for 14 bucks today

yee, bring on rain

as soon as the temp drops below 55, my eyes water up for the first few minutes of my ride. soooo annoying.

Anyone know any good cycling friendly water resistant pants? The swrve stuff is kinda pricey if it isn’t part of a GB.

I usually just wear jeans or khakis or whatever goes with my outfit that day with some under armor tights underneath for warmth.

Since everything here is frozen tho, water repellency isn’t that big of an issue I guess?

yea rain is the only real concern here.

it was 69 degrees today after being mid 40’s last week

HELL FUCKING YEAH

Yeah, dude. It’s well into the 50s here, too. Nice to have one last taste o’ fall before things get all frozen n’ what not.

can i do a goggles/glasses collab, or will that not work well?

it can work, but its easier to get fog.

so should i just stick with glasses like i’ve always done?

I have some goretex pants I got at costco years ago for when it’s DUMPING and cold. They were $30.

But usually, I’m wearing fleece-lined lycra leggings with short-ass shorts Made of 65% poly 35% cotton. Gets wet, but dries really fast.

There is a anti-fog/water repellent widely available for glasses. Works well too.

Cat Crap. Get it at ski shops.

does cat crap mess up your lenses if you have the anti-glare coating on the lenses?

It was so goddamn nice out here today.
Like 57* and clear blue skies with high puffy clouds.
The leaves have mostly turned and the city is brisk and alive.
A perfect autumn day.

Those inquiring about ski goggles over glasses. If you treat your glasses with anti-fog, you’ll be fine as most ski goggles already have this.

HOWEVER! MAKE SURE YOU GET AN OTG GOGGLE! (OTG being Over the glasses.)

Otherwise… it won’t fit.

BOOM!!! Roll you ovah!!!
