a shame it can’t be cut…
i think yellow and all silver parts would look much better.
i’d like to see the rest of the colors.
i could probably find an answer if i looked hard enough, but:
how easily does the 53 accept full fenders? (honjos? sks? velo-orange?)

Mmmhhhmmmm.
I wouldn’t buy a tarck bike if i were planning to run fenders…
that’s true, but this bike is cheap. i’m getting a nice bike soon, but i want to have a new beater first because i murdered my old one.
look no further.
yeah, i saw that. i’m still undecided.
i hate decisions. i should just buy nice bike now.
That Phantom Uno looks fucking rad. If I were searching for a bike to run fenders on, my search would be over. The price on that is crazy, there’s no way you could build something for less.
However, what’s with the under-the-tube cable routing? Didn’t anyone tell him that CX bikes should have cable routing on top? “WTF” is right. Not a good idea for a CX bike, but probably the best deal on a commuter you’ll find.

Another WTF is that he puts cross top levers on without aero levers. Annoying.
Oh shit, I didn’t even notice that. That’s fucking stupid, and they’re probably not really even “cross levers.” Cross levers more or less need to sit in the middle of a run of housing, since they have no place for a cable end to sit. So what’s on that bike is likely just regular brake levers, meaning you have to buy cross and drop bar levers. That bike is total, complete WTF. It should be called the Motobecance WTF since it makes no fucking sense.
out of curiosity, why does it really matter if you run the cable under the tube on a CX bike?
Because you’re going to be shouldering the bike a ton during any CX race. Cables under the top tube means you’ll be grinding that shit into your shoulder all day long, and probably fucking up the paint pretty badly (if that matters to you).
'cause cable bosses hurt when you throw the frame over your shoulder.
Look no further:
Those are indeed cross levers, and while not it’s exactly proper they are perfectly capable of being used alone, not just in-line. Plenty of people do it, but it’s a bit odd to see such a setup on a supposedly CX bike. On something silly like the London Langster, sure, but in this case you would expect the accepted practice.

Yes, which is why we were making “WTF” puns.
Hmmm you know that does make sense.
Yeah, you’re right, I didn’t see the photo gallery photos. The fact that they’re actually stand-alone cross levers might actually be stupider, because - sure, it can be done, but it’s hardly an optimal setup. I’ve set up cross-levers as stand-alone levers before, and the performance is shit, so I can only imagine how wonky they’re going to be on a system as difficult to setup and maintain as cantilevers.
Wait a second…what’s the difference between cross levers and like bmx style? I think my bike shop may have given me a cross levarrr.
