If by messed you mean messing around pretending to be Kevin Costner then yes.

50% coca-cola and 50% water???
that sounds terrible.
from my understanding, this is pretty standard among the pro peloton.
yep. also it tastes surprisingly good, and the sugar x caffeine are great.
I might try this sometime. I haven’t had a sugar soda in years though. I think my body might freak out.
After reading about the amount of horrible shit that you routinely put in your body I’d imagine that you could handle a Coke.
I’d love be on the ride to give you hell of shit when you have your sodie freak out though.
haha. touché.
I don’t eat meat cept fish sometimes, but I won’t eat farm raised fish cos those aren’t happy fish. My objection to eating meat is mostly due to unhealthy conditions it is raised in, so I try to be conscious of that when I eat fish stuff. Overfishing is lame too, so I try not to eat it often.
blahblahblah nobody cares about my stuff, so anyway
In Japan we used to make rice balls. Basically a triangle of sticky rice. Take sticky rice (cook with a little sake in there for yummy taste) and make a triangle…then grill it…(cos it makes it more awesome) then take a little piece of seaweed and wrap it around. Put sesame seeds and some salt on there. Add some umeboshi if you can stomach it or whatever else you fancy (I like kombu in the middle)
And the faces make it more fun to eat.
Also a big fan of those Chinese doughey bun things with pizza sauce in the middle. oh my gawsh.
oh man, do I miss rice balls. I really miss just being able to go into a corner store and grabbing one. My favorite were the ones with kimchi in the middle. And I miss ramen shops, okonomiyaki, and vending machines, among other things.
check out these bad boys:

in the fruit and nut pemmican bar (my favorite one):

no weird-ass stuff like the big100 bars have. (although i love those i try not to eat them too often)
when i want to save money and not buy food when i go somewhere and bring a bike i get a couple of these, some oranges or apples, nuts (or whatever bulk trail mix is cheap), and clif bars if i find a $10/10 deal.
i also took 2 of the bear valley bars, clifs, some gels, normal water in camelbak, and nuun tab’d water in the bottle on the century i did and my first long stop was at 70 miles.
i sooo wish i didnt HATE bananas (coz gorss atmo…flavor and texture).
edit: just did a quick search for other foods that are high in potassium and banans are beat by potatoes (with skin on), spinach, cantaloupe, and lima beans. i’d eat a raw potato like an apple before id eat a banana.
you hate bananas? that is weird. I eat a banana a day.
yeah it is weird. they make me wanna hurl. ive tried…cant get into them.
texture probably?

Man I love onigiri, never thought of using it as bike food, though. There’s a place around here that makes it fresh daily and distributes to all the better grocery stores. Most commonly we get salmon and ume, but there’s katsuobushi and other varieties with different types of pickles. Also, they come in packages such that keeps the nori separate from the rice so that the nori is crunchy when you eat it.
breakfast banana is the business
kinda get that banana smell but oh well at least it stays in the kishen
Hey, thanks.
need to investigate for my selfs

anyone know what these things are called? i stuff myself full of them whenever im in thailand, reeally want to learn how to make some
pizzaman…except man is pronounced like jamaicans say it “mon.”
Basically manju. The pic is with the pizza so pizzaman. Nikuman (meat), curryman (curry, duh), etc.
But I really like the plain manju from Taiwan my wife’s mom steams up.
饅頭pronounced in Chinese is mantou? Something like that?
You know what… sardines aren’t too bad straight up. I think I may try this on my next century mixed with some raisins or dates or something.

raisins or dates? i would try some bread/crackers.
Been cutting down on grains lately for the most part. Either way, sweet stuff + salty stuff usually = delicious ATMO.
Guh. I cannot imagine crunching down on those explosive little eye balls. Jesus fuck. Ugh. So nasty.
