I’m going to go with the evolution mini. It fits in your hand perfectly.
And it fits snugly in your back pocket or belt for easy access, it’s win-win with the evo mini. Not to mention that is has uses outside of assault to begin with, it’s such a very magical lock.

I think the chain is more traditional and more versitile. Also, it looks scarrier when you’re whipping a 13lb chain above your head than when you’re waving a 4lb piece of bent metal thats barely bigger than your hand. For best results, use a carabiner instead of the padlock to keep it secured around your waist.

Hey Tarck!! I’m buying a new fullsize u today. Should I get the NYC or is the Evo enough? At my lbs the NYC is cad $45 more. For something that will hopefully last for years, and hopefully intimidate bike thieves more, it’s a bit tempting.
NY shit is a lot heavier. Might want to factor that in.

Your lbs has to order evo’s? I’ve never been to a shop that didn’t have entire racks of them.
well they had some other cable locks and some huge u locks, really basic stuff. the shop is in a small/rich town
we get our fish from gloucester. i even know how to pronounce it, even though i live in the mid-west.
