Don’t think you need outdoors. Folks that don’t know basic Yiddish will think it’s a made up Palo Alto thing with missing vowels
Straight up “Kvell” is taken on socials and domains.
Maybe I’m weird but I have a hard time seeing “kvell” without “kvetch”
love the idea of using yiddish!
Kvell Outdoors rolls nicely to me
and I will remember it
I don’t know how to say it. I mean, I think I do, but it doesn’t roll off the tongue naturally like Blonsky does.
Kvell is swell!
“Broad Cloth”
prime for knuckle tattoos
Do you know how to say Fjallraven?
People didn’t know how to say Nike either.
Blonskraven has a nice ring to it.
Eff Y’all Raven. Coined by my son at age 5.
Nobody asked me.
Still don’t. Ever heard a Brit/Euro say it? Rhymes with Mike.
Yeah and those are both different from the correct Greek pronunciation
I just did
Fyallravin ATMO
is that like RAVE-in or RAH-vin
Bikewear
Made
Inclusive
…or BMI for short.
Update: I don’t want to make clothes anymore. Instead, going for the whole outdoor industry - hammocks, chairs, sleeping bags/pads, snow equipment. No idea how I’m going to do it.
Long story short - over the 12 week entrepreneurship class I realized I hate capitalism and the entrepreneur vibe, and can’t make my vision of a sustainable, ethical company come true with clothing.
But I think there is something here…it’s gonna go on the back burner for a while - my entire focus is All Bodies on Bikes. ’
Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions!
These things are, in my opinion, much easier to design, make and do cool things with. Clothes have finicky size ranges, and fit is SO complicated. Beyond that it’s hardly ever novel and materials are a PITA.
Still tough with hardgoods, but there’s a much more accessible range of textiles for these things.
Sorry I never reached out to have a call about your clothes line. I’m WAY more passionate about hardgoods and technical products, so don’t hesitate to nudge me again when you pick this back up.
Your site got mentioned today on CADE Media blog, about the topic of bikes not serving people at the far ends of the spectrum for body types and sizes. Good discussion.
They’re all on the shorter side, and have trouble finding bikes and components (especially bars and cranks) that fit. Nice to see them publicizing the issue for all us ‘edge cases’.
