Well, last night I stayed at a hotel, but that is because I’ve been dealing with a slow leak on my rear wheel. I’ve done everything I can to fix it, but alas, every 2-5-7 miles, I have to stop and air it back up. Plus hadn’t showered in 5 days so it was about time. I use warmshowers.org to stay with people and do a lot of stealth camping. Well not really. When I get to a small town that has a park, I go to the city hall/police station and ask if I can sleep in the park. 9/10 tey say it’s fine, and I sleep under the pavilion on a park bench. I make sure to cover myself in bug spray, because those little fuckers can be fierce! Some of the times when I reach a park that you pay to camp, there is no one there, so I just go and set up, and I’m usually gone/no one even notices me, so I’ve only paid to camp once. Overall, about every four-seven days I’ll get a hotel/motel and relax in a bed and enjoy taking a shower. But if I’ve had a host, I skip the hotel. I count that as a shower/bed/relaxing situation, so I don’t waste the extra money.
I’m getting closer to mpls, so I’m gonna hang there and get super drunk with Micah, and go fuck around… So stoked!
This is the part of the tour that is going to be super fun. Not as hot, good people are right around the corner, and I’ve hit the 1000 mile mark

Hahaha thanks Heath. I was going to get in on that jet blue deal, and fly out west and east and what not, but didn’t jump on it fast enough and shit sold out. I wanted to pause the tour and go hang with the bay area tarckers and the northwest tarckers and east coast tarckers… But fuck, to slow. Fast I haz it not. Oh well, gonna be hanging with mid west tarckers and east coaster in just a bit

So I’m only 90miles from being at micah’s place, but it is going to work better for him, if I show up tomorrow, instead of today. To be honest, I don’t mind, cause it makes today and tomorrow super easy rides. I will say it is almost like Christmas, knowing that I’m so close to being done with the first leg of the tour. Not to mention beer drinking and relaxing time.
Is anyone in the mpls area going to be around from 1-4 tomorrow? Micah doesn’t get off until five, so I’m just going to ride through downtown and stop somewhere close to his place and drink beers. My phone should be working there, so give me a shout if you wanna meet up/aren’t doing anything tomorrow in the afternoon.
