If you’re using horizontal dropouts, you can run whatever ring you want. The chain will stay on unless you do something very wrong. I’m not gonna tell you not to eewing, but a rival1 set will so the same job for a fraction of the price.

Xt 8050 vs RX805 dangler on a 1x

The RX will be fly-by-wire, yes? I’m not sure what the difference between the two are except the rx is somewhat sleeker than the 8050.

Does the alfine come with a matching LHS brake lever, or did you have to mix&match. (And I’m not sure, but I think you can set up unified shifting on 8050, maybe? (at least that’s what I hope with my ebay find; my ultegra di2 mess is too old to be flashed with unified shifting firmware.))
