Basically I want to get out of the ahearne and I’d like something better suited for what I’ve been making it do.
If you want to experiment with a stupidly low trail fork on that machine, I’ve got a 1" steertubed (and, sigh, threaded) 80mm offset electra fork lying around that you’re welcome to borrow. Not dick brake, but it has canti studs.
headset reducer; the only problem with this fork is it’s only got 18cm of unthreaded steertube (and another 12cm of threaded) which might fall exactly at the point where it won’t work well with a threaded headset and won’t work at all with a threadless one.
If you want to see how a low-trail fork joint rides with a load, experiment first before tossing $1500 into the bonfire.

pretty sure that’s what i’m gonna do with the davidson.
Well, it’s their fat bike with 29er wheels. I think the HTA is somewhere around 68-69. Probably sucks to ride on the road.
they also use a high offset fork and less reach to make it work really well
it’s the Jeff Jones solution to the traditional surly turdliness (and a better one than their Krampus / ICT solution to trailbieks)
On-One is spot on when they say “The Fatty Fat Bike features some of the most progressive ‘fat’ geometry out there”
make what work well, the drop bars? cos the frame was not designed around them.
61 ett in the largest size seems crazy short, compared to like a Fatboy with 62.5 in the L or 65 in the XL (and a 70.5 HTA).
plz explain plz.
I want to like On One but I don’t see how this could work for me.
