Miguel's fat-tired fopmobile

hory shet sandwich storage

ok, long chanstays/slack STA, foppish part spec, and suspect tube selection aside

are there any other bikes that serve the “29er tour-ish bike” niche with good geo and material selection?

my fave thing about fred’s roadie might be the campy carbon cranks with flat pedals

local shopbro is putting some customer-donated super record carbon cranks on an xcheck

I had just broken my ankle, from when I crashed my cycletruck across a sidewalk and up a flight of stairs timetrialing at 25mph

putting those on my Elephant or Kogswell would’ve been pedalstrike city

dumpstered pizza from Pagliacci’s (a local chain)

I think that’s their tuscan kale with lemon and riccotta seasonal special

their Clem for $1500 complete, instead of paying $2600 to get lugs and a cream headtube

the ridiculously long wheelbase does ride well and complements the thickwall tubing

otherwise just look at some damn hybrids, the Giant Toughroad is a hell of a lot of bike for the money

“ALWAYS LUGGED”

Mig can you please get a custom built hybrid them never post pictures of it

Nono, I still want a 29er wheeled fop pukebacker
What do I get then?

A long haul trucker

Salsa something. Fargo?

just pukeback on whatever 29er you like
it’s not like you need fender and rack mounts on a mtb

Seconded.

Bantam is doing a run of “adventure bikes” that are foppy.

Singular Swift

Niner RLT Steel

are you new here? This is why miggy has his special thread.

the problem i have with the el mar is it just weighs so damn much

get a XC crabon 29er then, or a custom steel frame made
production steel frames don’t get significantly lighter than the el mar
your build is gonna affect the total weight much more than the frame weight

I can also tell you that when you hang a bunch of bags on your bike, the cables can saw through softer materials like butter if you are not careful

cables saw through bags? or cables saw through crabon/steel tubes?

I’ve always kinda had a tent pole for the niner ros 9 plus…
