[quote=cousinmosquito]I’m about 7 from 9 these days.
Apparently.
Oh wait
Did you read landlords this week?
Because mfn heiney does a crossover into messbro cred village
Edit:
I saw it linked to here. I have no idea what Landlords Cycling is or why they call themselves Landlords.
And have no interest in finding out myself, because life was fine before knowing they existed.
Did you ever read “dear Dabby” on PUMA? (Portland united messenger association)

Puma no longer exists

hahah, on the related posts just below is Sharky carrying his kid in his sling bag.
Do you want a version of All Hail the Black Market that’s based in Philadelphia or someplace instead of Oakland? If so, Landlords is your business.
Nah, I’m good.

PUMA lasted more than a couple of years?
Looking back at that time: between setting up PUMA, the messenger unionization campaign, and the Westside Invites, portland messengers were really doing an impressive amount of stuff for a crowd of maybe 40 people, 2/3rds of whom were completely drunk at any given moment.
ancient PUMA sticker:
Yeah dude, I delivered coffee beans a few times for a buddy but never got farther than a few alley cats. I mean, I organized a half dozen races myself but then I got older and people started getting hurt and it just didn’t seem to matter as much. Now it’s cool to see all these dudes that stayed in the life and take photos on Instagram. I wouldn’t want to party like that anymore but it was fun while it lasted. Got me into cycling the way I am now.
If that was at the start of the 2000’s, we probably bumped into each other - I worked for a few different messenger companies around Portland in that era.
I’m glad that there are still people from what are now the olden days out there, but yeah, at this point I’m a cargo bike dad/sorta long distance rider.
So I assume yall know Todd?
Which one?
There was a Todd working back then, I’d be surprised if he remembered me.
Todd Danger. Big beard, has been on the road since I think like 95.
Don’t know when he started, but that’s the name, yeah. Are you friends with him? Are you him?
Definitely not toddy. But yeah, friends with the dude. I think I first met him in Paris last year but I could be wrong. He was one of the few that stayed for a while after worlds so he and I spent a lot of time not knowing french together.
Pretty sure I’ve seen that dude around. Maybe met Jim I don’t know, I met a bunch of people
