Mr. Dilthey's own thread for posting jackass bikes that he likes.

I would have liked 2012 tarck, but tarck would not have liked 2012 me

I bought the wrong size steamroller once before I started reading reach numbers. Still don’t think they come in my size.
I don’t even know why I asked. That photo reminded me of when my friend put 44s on his steamroller and spent the day cutting the side knobbies down so it could clear that stays.

Also Nomads on a steamroller is so 2012 tarck.
Literally no fucks given. I mostly ride geared bikes now, but I still bust out the steamroller every couple weeks, just because I really enjoy riding fixed. The messbros love it, the goons love it, and I love it.

I’m just glad it’s not my only bike.

John’s cagro bike has me dreamin’.

They’re affordable

IK, I am torn between resurrecting a 90’s frame with the guys in Boston or getting one of these Omniums direct from Europe. The reimbursement for Danish VAT is bigger than the int’l shipping cost.

Gotta get that money in order

How much are the Omniums in USD? Anyone out there ever made a DIY version?

The slightly snaller one is about $950 plus $200 shipping

Thats not terrible. Is that for the complete bike?

Shane you should probably talk with a shop bro. Frameset prices are less than that.

An orange sparkle Mini-variant would be pretty great, would let supwife ride it too. Too bad they don’t have a frameset only option for that.

ETA: lol, no way I’m paying almost two bongs shipped for the single speed version.

Jfc
Go to a shop and ask for pricing. There is a sparkle orange mini in stock

Planning on it actually, but given that shipping cost to me is $357, probably still not worth it.

Are you on the west coast?

Not quite, Utah.

Close enough
I’m getting frame pricing this week

Just frame only, not complete bike. But that’s okay, I can’t wait to start digging up old XT 9-speed parts to build it up. I haven’t had a project since I went singlespeed and all my bikes stopped breaking.

Talked to LBS today about the project. Remember that crazy rigid truss bike I posted in the “I went for a ride today” thread? Well, Parker thinks Matt will be jazzed to build me a cargo bike. He says most of the fab work he does is brass fittings for furniture because there’s nobody in the market for bikes. Well, hell yeah, I may be in the market real quick.

That would be sweet. Local new framebuilder jamming together a sw8 cargo bike.

So this is pretty crazy but I might have an omnium for sale pretty soon. In the next few days we are sorting out what to do with our 6 cargo bikes but I’m pretty sure we’re going to end up selling one of the omnoms.

WOW hell yes. Ok. I’ll body slam my savings account, sounds good.

How much are you thinking you are gonna sell it for?
