MTB Ride and Race 2011

Congrats to all that raced this past weekend! It’s been a bit wet here and we’re gearing up for the Idyllwild spring challenge. I’ve been ramping up the training to try and make up for being sick.

I raced on Saturday morning… ~1:10 of hell on earth for me, got 22 out of 24 Cat 2’s.
Looking forward to the next race though, I have quite a bit of training to do.

Ray is that a rigid 26er?

Rigid SS 26er.

^Nice, I’ve been thinking of a rigid 26er recently, what frame is it? I’ve been looking on bike island at the cheap 26 frames.

that bike seems so right. i’m that much closer to doing a ss conversion on the kona now… could probably net myself $100 to put towards cross bike stuff in the process, too.

Its a 1994 Parkpre Pro 825. Tange Ultimate Superlight tubes I bought the bike new to replace a bike that was stolen but then gave riding for 13 years.

Thinking about getting tarck ends added. The Eno Hub has slipped a few times on goof off rides, but when it slipped in a race I’m ready to move on.

Edit: Ted Wojcik is right up the highway from me. I’ll give him a call in the morning.

I’ve got an '05 Gunnar Ruffian frame that I’d let go

Johnny its prolly too big, I’m a little guy which is why I was looking at a 26er instead of a 29er. Although I had given some thought to a 650b front/26 rear.
