I am a trained professional!!! I got home from work around 9:30 and started building. I took a break for dinner and a few smoke breaks. I didn’t go to bed last night until 3am. I got up a little early for work this morning and finished it up at work in time for a ride around the store before I had to start work. Maiden Voyage will be this weekend. The wheelset and the stem/bar had to be stolen from two of my bikes. I will be ordering the Berthoud fenders and Hetres on Monday most likely.

mmm that’s pretty awesome

I was really unsure about how this was gonna turn out

maybe rotate the bars down the tiniest bit, so the ramps and drops are at complimentary angles forming a >

looks pretty cool.
give a review
cos skeptical as all fuck of VO product

I did a 40 mile shake down ride today. It road great. Thanks everyone for the recommendation and being the voice of reason to get me to use the Rival. I am so happy I went with the Rival and not the downtube retro parts.

I have been riding the Poly the last two days to work and with another 75+ miles on it I need to get a new wheelset. Having to ride the last two nights with my battery lights makes me really miss my Cyo. So I am looking for opinions on the wheel build. I am going to use my currently unused Dh71 front generator hub. The spokes will be db Dt Swiss 2.0/1.8. I am leaning toward ordering the 650b A23 rims from Anthony at longleaf when I place the order for the Cyo/seculite. I am not sure on the rear hub? 105/ultegra/Deore/LX? Or since this will plan on being a nice wheelset Dt Swiss 340 or a White Industries? They will be 32hole front and rear and want a non-disc rear hub. The frame is spaced at 132.5mm so road or mtn spacing will work fine.

I will write up a formal review after I get some time and some more miles on it.

If you can either live with the four-bolt mounts or have someone machine them off, this here is a Hugi nee DT swiss hub in disguise. For $15.

I have one of those. Need to order a rotor for it.

I thought I would post up some more pics of the almost finished build. All that is left is to mount up the Seculite and wire it. New wheels are built and they turned out great. Front 71 hub rear Dt Swiss 190 (cause screaming deal through QBP), Dt Swiss comp 2.0/1.8 spokes laced to A23 rims with Hetres.

I just finished the wheels and Cyo install and did a 2am ride just to test everything out. But, comutting to work on it has been great. Except for my one and only flat on my way home the first day I rode on the Hetres. I used Stan’s rim tape so I might give these a try tubeless.
