I’m sort of curious why you don’t stock the extra long reach brakes. I don’t think you’ve ever stocked them? I guess no one does 650b conversions anymore.

I’ve got the Grand Cru 47-57 bois and they’re fantastic.

this all came up from a very random eBay search and I was like … wait … I know these cantis

No u
Who is going to compete with Jan on the chainstay dangler? Or chainstangler for short?

Who is knocking off the best of the suntour stuff?

The Tektro XXL bois are good and hard to beat for the price. And they come in nutted (which many of these conversions are). Personally, I think the VO seatstay dangler will be better. I am currently working on technical drawings.

The “Preamble.” 700c, QR disc, nice Tiffany blue paint, flat bar 1x, looks like a horizontal TT cross check. Straight fork with warts. Didn’t look close at derp outs specifically. 32-35mm lookin tires. $900 ish? Apparently unturdly?

It’s designed to go up against the Fairdale Weekender. Similar spec and price point. Way worse margin for dealers.

Hard pass for Outpost.

Comes in a drop bar version also. It’s the Bridge Club approach to an intro bike for people who are more pavement focused.

Probably a Canada thing but our margins on Fairdale are terrible, and the bikes are junk with a good marketing/design budget. Hoping the new Surly is a success for us anyway.

There are some images floating around from a pitch deck… uni-crown fork, cable brakes, nothing super exciting but I wonder if this is what finally kills off the Cross Check? If even the bargain shoppers are turning away from cantis, seems you would only move frames to parts hoarders.

Off to a good start

Also the blue ones housing is too short. Bike company marketing materials suck.
