New & Interesting Bike Campenaerts

With only one set of stays I’d be worrried about it unexpectedly adjusting downwards at the rear, that alloy linkage doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Are the brackets 3D printed?

That’s what I see but also says prototype

Is this new? Appealing for 9/8" dead-enders (me)

looks like a new name with dynamo routing and 2-pack instead of 3-pack bosses

Ritchey and their OEM have been making versions of this fork for about a decade now without being loud about it

the design essentially produces a tapered steerer with continuous fiber layup to the legs, but compressed vertically so that it occupies the same space as a crown race would — so congratulations metal bike nerds it’s a safe modern construction fork with an integrated crown race

Can you tell me if this would be appropriate geometry as a replacement fork for my BMC Road+? I’m guessing the answer is no, but having a hard time finding any appropriate carpet fiber fork for it. Fork geometry confuses the heck outta me.

You’re going to have a hard time finding anything with a similar 60mm offset. The axle to crown is right but the offset is much lower so it is going to handle a bit differently. I’ll bet you’re used to it after a ride around the block. Also, it will be maybe not as good with a fully-loaded handlebar bag but again, I bet you’ll be used to the handling almost immediately.

It will change the trail value from a median Bush II administration value to a median Obama administration value

It’s the same length so the angles stay the same and nothing else changes

Ok now find me one that isn’t $600

We should probably make more. Between a few years of inflation and orange man tariffs the price would probably double.

The ingenuity, the shade tree engineering, the trail access.

Apparently there is a 14 speed cassette from Sensah. Would be fun to try with the glowtac shifters. Cant find much about it anywhere.

10-46t isn’t the worst idea, but missing a 14t cog for some reason and inexcusably with all 4t jumps from 24 to 46?

way better off using an Ekar cassette

Ah! Thanks for that Fred. I will digest later. As a HG-hold-out it still has some potential, but yeah, the thing that really sucks for me with 1x is the big gear gaps at the climby end. Will compare to my Garbaruk. Hmmm, Sensah is still better, Garbaruk (11-50) is 4t jumps from 20 to 36 and 6t jumps from there.
