New & Interesting Bike Campenaerts

I had the problem. No butted spokes on a 20” wheel.

It’s deja vu all over again.

I WAS LITERALLY JUST THINKING OF THAT MICROSHIFT YESTERDAY!!!

I use the Microshift advent super short on my cargo bike because the RD is tiny and shifts a 38t cassette inside my 20" wheel. However the cable routing kinda sucks and it takes a ton of lever force to push gears. I thought “woah what if they make the super short RD but wireless?” and here you show it to me the next day.

Dunno about that giant stem master cylinder thing. Cable brakes aren’t so bad (especially for my flat bar applications where the brakes are separate from the shifter).

Topeak makes one that lights up your bottle. Gotta use a clear bottle though.

Looks like they have a new version with more light. I have an older version that’s color changing and only shines light into the bottle.

That’s cool. They also have these dorky side lights that I kinda want.

@Gary_the_tennis_ball designed the Blackburn version. #buytarck

Edited for the correct Tarcker

Totally agree. Big cable disc fan here. Still got to have a play with my Hope v2 variant tho for shits and giggles. Had to get a rear disc brake adaptor for the bike Im going to put it on, and will likely have to get a disc grinder on to that to make it fit.

nah I never worked at Blackburn

We had a couple hours to kill between appointments at the oncologist today so we went over to REI to kill time. I test rode a Brompton G Line and it was actually pretty alright. Didn’t feel like a squirrelly Brompton at all.

I’m not gonna buy one at $3300 but I was surprised.

So this is a cable-brake, wireless-shifting group? Excellent. Perfect for retrofitting onto rim brake bikes.

Ooh there’s one at my local shop, maybe I’ll try to get a test ride too

Nope, its cable to hydro brakes, with wireless shifting, on a kids drop barred bike.

But Mavic just relaunched the rim-braked ksyriums if you feel nostalgic !

Doesn’t look wireless

Doh. You are right. Meant electronic, not wireless

but it doesn’t have to go to hydro, can just run the cable to the brakes. Not wireless anyway as pointed out, so my interest has waned.

I think putting the pistons in the stem face plate is pretty trick.
