pretty similar geo to a bridge club too. bridge club also has novatec hubs (mine crapped out after a few thousand miles of touring), but deore 11s instead of the Radavist Approved Microshift.
I feel like if they release a $400 frameset it would be a pretty sweet base for a build
didn’t you just sell all of your bikes
Only one so far ![]()
Shake hands with beef
M or L only
Honestly, ‘Radavist approved’ aside, I would have no problem with 1x10 Sword for that price.
that is a different bike than the mono fwiw- that one looks to be the curly bar edition that is shorter and steeper. still don’t think i’m mad about it though and yeah 1x10 sword seems perfectly cromulent for that bike
Yeah, they first released the Dame in only two sizes IIRC, so the Mono will eventually get more sizes, and framesets, if it’s a success.
Does anyone make a bottle cage light? The idea being that you can be visible from the side profile since front and rear lights are generally standard. Not sure what color the light should be, maybe amber?
Not quite what you’re asking for, but Blackburn has these side lights
Should be red/green like boats
Should go on the spokes
The lights my wife uses on her rowing shell are about water bottle size and just suction onto the boat. I bet if you just remove the suction cup they’d work pretty good for that. I don’t see hers in a cursory search so I’ll have to check the make/model when I get back home. I know it’s available in bi/color or white.
The old reflective ankle bands are actually really effective.
I got a couple packs of those Salzmann spoke reflectors and put them on some bikes. Hopefully they look cool (obviously can’t see them yourself when riding) but I don’t recommend to people sensitive to bike creaks and clunks. Much noisier than I expected. The make little clunks sliding up and down the spokes when you accelerate and decelerate, and they can make little wooshing sounds when you are cruising along and presumably start spinning. Took me a little while to get used to
Hm, i’ve never had mine be noisey. Dab of silicone sealant time maybe? Or if one is being mean, get nicer wheels with butted spokes (larger butted ends hold the reflector better).
Did you put them all the way out by the nipple? I only went 3/4 of the way so that probably didn’t help
Once I figured out what the noise was, I was less bothered, but I had about a month where I thought all my wheel were about to explode
I have not had this problem with them. I think it’s the butted spokes.
I’ve always had those all the way out to the nipples and they’ve mostly been fine. Some have been loose and would fall back down to the hubs just walking the bike that’s probably mostly/all about some of those spoke reflectors fitting tighter than others.
