this looks amazing. i don’t care enough about performance to get a road shoe and not be able to walk anywhere. and i like being able to use one shoe on all bikes. BUT sure, why not have more stability for my road rides?

Shimano also has a new SPD that allows you to just slam your foot down on the pedal instead of having to nose-in.

Seems easy to accomplish for existing cleats with five minutes with a dremel for those inclined—looks like it just adds a little bevel on the pedal side of the front of the cleat

That was my first thought. Just looks like a MTB show with minimal tread. Completely unsure what the "modular” pontoon adds. I thought at first that it was a gravel show that could take a 3 bolt cleat, but looks like no.
Yeah, from the funny Duracchi single sided SPDs.
We used to sell them to people who insisted on MTB pedals cuz 2 sided but also insisted on road shoes because they only wanted to ride on the road.
