They were putting these on DH bikes a couple years ago with no real consensus on effectiveness, not surprised they’ve made the move to gravel

I do have inside knowledge. If you like a certain type of robo shifting, it’s cool. If you don’t care about that, then you prob won’t care. i will say nothing more.

When I had a 5 speed Honda element a few years ago, I discovered that the rear diff (on the 5 spd version only) had a mass damper on it. We were driving back from a weekend in the woods one evening when a terrible vibration and noise began to emanate from the rear.
I think we drove another 90 minutes home with this happening at or above a certain speed. The next day I crawled under the car and found the damper rod loose in its mount. Over the 15 years or so of the car’s existence, the rubber coating the damper had worn away. So there was this metal rod vibrating in a metal holder due to the vibrations of my drivetrain. And let me tell you, it was a loud and scary noise lol.

I saw another shop had one a while back, it seemed like praxis copied Phil Vandelay’s design (or maybe bought his ‘for non commercial use’ plans and are making a version of it?)

I don’t 3d print, so this is second-hand knowledge, but… small builders routinely use 3d printed lugs. What’s to say this can’t be safe?
Is it the printer they’re using? The lack of FEA in their design process? Honest questions.
That 3d printer is printing weak plastic.
You could get these 3d printed in a metal. Or use as a mandrel to wrap with carbon fiber.
