New & Interesting Bike Campenaerts

3 small generators in the XYZ orientations that capture mechanical vibration energy and convert it to electrical like a kinetic watch. If capacitor is depleted then rapidly clicking the shifter would allow manual charging through a separate piezoelectric transducer.

old nexave di2 had a rear dynamo. then there was the auto 2 speed hub changer that the front hub powered

image image

i lied, it was 3 speed. front hub ran to the junction box which made it shift.

nexave was dangler gears but i don’t know if it charged batteries or just a cap- who needs to shift when the wheels ain’t moving anyway

I wonder what Gambini has to say about that.

I forgot that place exists, as one of the three bike shops/cafes in a ~1 sq mile radius

Their awesome urban courtyard area + yummy veggie burritos + good beer selection + few blocks from my new apartment really resonated with me this summer.

No crown mountpoint for a rack, though :-(

Yeah, I was disappointed by that

With any of these things, isn’t the key to work backwards and figure out which Alibaba account is selling the same fork for like $175?

But yeah, the lack of a fork crown attachment makes it more or less useful for Tarck’s wants

The fork shape makes it look like the one on the Jamis Renegade, it’s not identical because this one has the fender mount and an additional brazeon on each leg

well there’s the one across the street and the other exactly a half-mile away

a whole square mile would probably include several more bike shops with espresso machines, kitchens, and beer taps

I just realized that I’ve worked at two of them

They should have rewound the coil with silver wire for less resistance atmo

I think some of the Hunt wheels rated worst in Gambinis wind tunnel thing, for what its worth. Marginal losses.
