your current road-themed caliper probably doesn’t have the port for it, but SLX M7000 calipers are currently super cheap when ordered directly from Shimano and come with the special bolts and fancy full-metallic finned pads

The one part that seems to be missing from these banjo kits is the hollow bolt that enters the caliper. That part seems to be specific to each caliper, correct?

it’s fluted and weird diameters not hollow, but yes

the M7000 calipers definitely come with the special bolt
