yeah. that’s what tarckers are for.
Not kidding a bit, even. I put him on my road bike for a second when he was over and he came back and was amazed with the brifters and everything else like they were magic. Of course it was way too small for him. If he ever gets a decent bike we’re all never going to hear the end of it.
The other option would be to cannibalize some other modern bike for the build kit and slap that shit on a custom frame.
Curtlo makes a nice lookin’ fillet brazed frame for pretty cheap.
