5 I ride regularly, as in some weeks Iā€™ll ride all 5. +2 slow motion project bikes I expect to have complete by 2022.

My count is 8 but that is the household count for me and my wife.

2 tandems (counted as 1 each)
My MTB
My Commuter
My road/gravgrav
frame with enough parts to build up
her cruiser
her trainer bike

She always says that we have too many bikes but I disagree.

I was solidly into double digits when we had a basement, but alas no longer.

There are too many cases where I feel like I have to defend how many bikes we own. I should know that this is a safe space to talk about how many bikes we onw.

OK, if tandems count as 2 Iā€™m going from 5 to 6.

I could probably build up all three of the frames in the side yard into complete functional bicycles with nothing but my parts bin, but Iā€™m not counting those. Hopefully theyā€™ll be donated soon. I miss living near the hood where I could leave bike junk on the corner and itā€™s gone in hours.

I said 11 but Iā€™m a solid bakerā€™s dozen. At least until I look around the house some more.

Yeah, this definitely wasnā€™t intended as a shaming/flex exercise ā€¦ more of a general curiosity. I sincerely wish I hadnā€™t added the hoarder comment to the poll.

The more I read about the particular reasons other people own particular bikes, the more faith I have in humanity/my own sanity.

I have too many bikes that arenā€™t being used, but given a lack of need for the small amount of money they would bring or the space theyā€™re taking up vs being able to use them once in a blue moon I CBF doing anything about it.
