i actually need to adjust my 2 to 3 based on the above rulings
5 I ride regularly, as in some weeks Iāll ride all 5. +2 slow motion project bikes I expect to have complete by 2022.
My count is 8 but that is the household count for me and my wife.
2 tandems (counted as 1 each)
My MTB
My Commuter
My road/gravgrav
frame with enough parts to build up
her cruiser
her trainer bike
She always says that we have too many bikes but I disagree.
I was solidly into double digits when we had a basement, but alas no longer.

Is it funny that there is a poll but everyone posts how many they have anyway?
I had to to get the count right. They shift around in my brain mists.
The lists are mental/emotional reckoning while the poll is for science.
There are too many cases where I feel like I have to defend how many bikes we own. I should know that this is a safe space to talk about how many bikes we onw.
Nobody gets to the end of their life wishing theyād enjoyed bikes less.
OK, if tandems count as 2 Iām going from 5 to 6.
Basket dyno poogeot

I could probably build up all three of the frames in the side yard into complete functional bicycles with nothing but my parts bin, but Iām not counting those. Hopefully theyāll be donated soon. I miss living near the hood where I could leave bike junk on the corner and itās gone in hours.
So what percentage of us actually undercounted then realized they had more when reading comments?
I said 11 but Iām a solid bakerās dozen. At least until I look around the house some more.
I think it is a 59
Orly?
Yeah, this definitely wasnāt intended as a shaming/flex exercise ⦠more of a general curiosity. I sincerely wish I hadnāt added the hoarder comment to the poll.
I didnāt read into the hoarder comment at al for what itās worth.
The more I read about the particular reasons other people own particular bikes, the more faith I have in humanity/my own sanity.
Teledyne? Like the aeronautics instrumentation manufacturer?
I have too many bikes that arenāt being used, but given a lack of need for the small amount of money they would bring or the space theyāre taking up vs being able to use them once in a blue moon I CBF doing anything about it.

Plus some random spare wheels and tubs of parts, but no spare frames.
Iāll call that 14 by counting the tandem as one (2 wheels = 1 bike)
yeah for what its worth i think that should apply to everything over three
