Pogacar’s bike change they basically don’t show, just the final push from the mechanic at about 11:45. Roglic’s bike change is shown in full at about 13:22.
That’ll teach me to watch racing when I’m in bed. I guess I nodded off and didn’t realize it.
They could have covered it way better. I read elsewhere that Tadej’s TT bike was set up to fit more similar to his road bike that typical, specifically for this stage so that swapping bikes wouldn’t be so jarring. Also that he and his team reconnoitered this stage and test rode it and tried different things and practiced the bike exchange, and learned where they could make small gains that added up overall.

I loved that Dumuolin just rocked the tt biek and was still flying up the climb all aero-like.
Some of those aero bars were propped way the hell up there, too.
I noticed the high high arm rests, wondering if that’s the new style or if it was an adaptation for more climbing.

Did anyone watch the full coverage and see what the mid-packers were riding? Was it only the top folks who got the bike swap treatment?
Probably mentioned a few times already but I’ve been digging the general content from The Lanterne Rouge youtube channel. Kind of like AvE for pro cycling instead of tools.

I did. The commentators mentioned that not all the riders would get the option to switch, but plenty of domestiques still got to. Wiggins spent all morning talking about how Roglic trains for uphill TTs and would not be making the switch. Then he did. So with all that, it was impossible to tell who wanted to be on a road bike and who chose to stay on their TT bike.
Yeah, we also watched the full feed and it was pretty hit or miss as to who swapped - no real consistency even within team or GC position once in the top 20 or so, didn’t notice a ton of folks lower down doing it probably didn’t get the option) though we just skimmed through the first bunch and watched all of the top 15 or so.
This guy is fun to listen to but the haircut/weird hat choices are the real draw.

Oh hell, Chloe Dygert was crushing women’s tt (almost 30 seconds up at halfway), then got wobbly and went over a guard rail in a right hand corner.
