watching the highlights this morning and screaming for Ben to get up. Hats off to VPP tho, having his teammate get back to the group made all the difference I reckon.

Also hats off to Jonas: no one can accuse him of not giving it a red-hot go.

Q Simmons is really tying the room together with that over the top natty champ jersey.
Looks like he rode right in from a Doonesbury strip.

The other day they played a clip from some other team’s radio where they referred to him as just Captain America.

Damn, they ain’t fucking around tomorrow. 5k meters of climbing over 3 HC climbs covering 170km. Should be fun.

These kinds of stages are interesting, because they could be super fun, but often (like today) end up so hard that they’re too hard for good racing

Nice to see O’Connor get up. And again, Jonas can never be accused of giving up, fucken Tadej is just at another level.

Oh, and it turns out Remco had a fractured rib.

On GCN they said someone did calculations and found that Tadej could have done the mountain ITT with a 20kilo suitcase strapped to his back and he still would have been in yellow. They factored in weight and aero losses.

good finish!

Much more exciting final stage than the standard flat crit vibes.

Absolutely.

I was initially grumpy considering how few scraps have been left to the sprinters this year, but DAMN.

That was amazing.
But I also liked the way the older route lets you watch so clearly the setup of lead-out trains.

really enjoyed this years TDF, while the gc wasn’t really in doubt the races within the race were exciting with a lot of different stage winners.

Totally
I liked that the yellow jersey was winning the race by winning stages instead of being strategic and sneaky.

Agreed.
But is it even worth bringing a leadout train to the TdF at this point?

wow. that final stage was the best last stage of the tour ive ever seen. The yellow jersey attacking up a cobbled climb in the rain? fuck yea
