really bad handlebar/lever setups itt

Wow. Trying to outdo Rivendell?

Come on guise, they have a genetic algorithm that “evolves” new handlebar designs. This is cutting-edge stuff.

Yes!

:colbert:

a while ago I saw someone on da gramz using a pair of bmx handlebars - clamped backwards and to the crossbar - as an “alt bar”

it looked pretty legit tbh

[quote=Wintage Townie]Yeah. Surly shared it this morning on FB, then swiftly deleted it. It’s an updated Moloko Bar, which was this abomination.

I don’t understand how you mount these. Or the other set.

Seems like the grips would have to drop as they come back towards the rider. Can’t grok stem faceplate situation, otherwise.

Moloko was at Interbike a few years ago but never hit the streets.

Backwards stem is obviously just to mount on the display.

someone at surly must have thought it was a good idea to bring it back

Looks like they are trying to find a way to make their own loop bar. They should probably just keep ordering from Jones.

Looks like Surly said “lets copy that Velo-Orange crazy bar and one up them by adding another cross bar”

I have a feeling the phrase “Let’s copy that _______ and then add ______” is a common utterance at SurlyHQ.

Fuck it, we’re going to five crossbars

Please upload to shoop ASAP.

Folks want options! Look at all those hand positions!

If that bar shoop shows up bike pubes we know we have a mole

We already got ripped off by Bicycle Crumbs, so it won’t be the first time.

Imagine the up-sell potential for auxiliary levers…
