That belongs in the really riv handlebar/lever setups thread
I donāt really see the problem here, except how do you adjust the rear dangler when the cable stretches? (Ladybiek has that same XT dangler and we had to put an inline adjuster in)
What the hell is that thing, some sort of custom? It almost looks like a NFE with the decals stripped off
Would ride, just needs the bars lowered a little bit and that is almost my dream bike, unfortunately.
itās an NFE with the decals stripped off
yet another idiot that built an expensive 26" wheelset for theirs (I have to talk someone out of this every week)
also spent more on a shittier HY/RD setup instead of Hylex, and a Brooks on a zero-offset VO seatpost
that is the most riv looking elephant ive ever seen

Well, you donāt have to.
Itās not like youāre gonna get fired from the internet if you donāt let someone buy what they wanna buy.
Well, I dunno. Maybe you are. Maybe this actually is your job.
Itās the Jan BQ review NFE frame, still cursed apparentlyā¦
do you, I guess. Jokes sorta on him, now that they have the Hylex levers also in that faux-steampunk drilled silver & gum hoodā¦
I saw this guy riding in Ballard earlier this year, passed me then promptly ate shit haaard leaning into a right hand turn coming up to old ballard ave from the trail, āsticking through wide turnsā indeed.

hilarious
[quote=Rusty Piton]Captain Pants and I spotted this grass seed(?) covered nightmare when she was in town.
Iām trying to remember what local ChiTown dealer sold those bikes - I recognize the Picasso flavored headbadge.
If you want to see this bike in the flesh, itās locked outside of Tableau Software from 9:30-6:00 every Monday through Friday. I pass it daily on my own NFE, and each time, a little piece of me dies.
Tableau
no wonder

Iām about to pull the trigger on buying a tableau license for work. The salesperson has been pushy; emailing me weekly, inviting me to webinars and crap. Maybe I should put on my negotiation pants and insist on a complete rebuild of this bike before I hand over any cash.
TC I donāt think itās that bad. Angle of the pic is sucky, which adds to the derp of the cockpit - other than that, meh. Biggest problem on it is the 26in wheels and frankly itās not that big of a problem. If you can 650b a 700c bike, you can sure as shit 26" a 650b frame with little or no kickback. At least they got proper tires for it. Given the amount of detail here, I donāt get the sense it was accidental. I have seen Elephants set up way worse than this. On the spectrum, this is a clucking of the tongue, not a mini-death ATMO. YMMV
As a proper NFE owner, you are within your rights to demand such a thing.
You sound like a bunch of crybabies weeping over your artisanal bikes.
Biggest problems for me are the rear rack and the boner stem (and I like rear racks on the right bikes). Problem with doing a Riv build on a NFE is that there are just too damn many coolguy NFE builds that youāll inevitably be compared to.
⦠And isnāt the rear end on these things supposed to be pretty springy? Again making the rear rack just a bad idea.
