Road Frames

Anyone wanna buy a 2006 49cm Masi Vincere frame?

$$$?[/quote]
Gimme a couple weeks.

Steer clear of those BBB things, they’re just junky carbon-wrapped aluminum, which weigh more than less expensive aluminum bars from Ritchey and the like.

Those Eastons are a killer deal though, even if carbon bars are stupid if you have to pay for them.

I was very close to buying some the other day, but a few minutes of research made it pretty clear that they’re junk. I haven’t seen the Eastons on there in a few weeks.

And then I just found this: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/791946963.html

That’s a fair deal, but seriously consider carbon handlebars thoroughly before you buy. They’re not really intended for weight saving, only increased comfort (which I don’t really find). As a trade off, you have a wildly expensive handlebar which can easily snap and fail, leaving you with a nasty spill, or with no way to get home, and which will easily leave you out ~$120. When I think about every time my bike has tipped over for any number of reasons, and consider that each time would likely require me to replace a $120 part of my bike, I’m glad that I use aluminum rather than carbon for certain features.

I don’t really understand the point of carbon bars unless they’re part of a bar/stem combo.
