ok maybe i should clarify. i would understand that the terms of the agreement that got me the free bike exist and i would understand the situation. i would also be extremely mad that the bike that i basically expect to at least remain fully connected to itself did in fact not remain connected.
if you get to the bottom of the run and the bike is not basically two triangles i think you are entitled to some disappointment.

The rider, Roger Vieria, qualified in 34th for the main event. GT hooked him up with a new bike.
He’s been on the GT Privateer Project since 2021.

what is a privateer?
Nominally it is someone who is paying their way for most of the the series. Like, you may get a discounted bits/parts here and there, but no full factory support of people booking your flights, lodging, food, mechanics, getting your numbers while you relax or warm up, etc. GT via their rider Wyn Masters was giving privateer of the week award to most notable performance of those privateers. Usually like $2k or so, which would go a long way to letting some of them extend their stays on the World Cup tour, etc. This year they really stepped it up and said they’d off people bikes, mechanical support and other stuff.
