That makes me feel a little better about forgetting my keys at home today. I ended up just YOLOing it and leaving my bike outside the store unlocked. It was there when I got back.
3rd time my LBS owners ebike stolen outside his shop. Abus D lock cut through in two places. How much noise do those things make?

Tough to see but I’ve got 8 cracked spoke holes on my rear Bullitt wheel.
This wheel went into service 3/14/23 and I discovered the cracks today, 9/27/23.
That’s like, pretty shitty. Did I somehow fuck it up or is this just something that happens to Velocity rims after six months of heavy use?

I used to always hear about Velocity rims breaking early, but this seems oddly short lived. Maybe they weren’t ready for that cargo Dad life.

Trying to dig up those old photos of the last Velocity rim I ever bought, delaminating into 3 circular pieces. No taco fixins, but I just gave up on Velocity after that.
So I shouldn’t just get another rim and do a swap then?
VO is sold out of their rim in 26” x 32h.

I can vouch for Alex adventure and whatever the dt swiss that comes in 26 is. I’m happy with both and not little or gentle or the best wheelbuilder.

Adventurer 2 is a great rim and is what is on my backup wheel currently on the bike.
I could just build up another one since I have a pair hoarded, but I want something more fun, preferably in gold to match the front rim. Doesn’t have to be tubeless either. Must be 32h because I don’t wanna buy a new hub. I’d do a Rhyno Lite but I can’t find my Goldilocks combo of gold x 32h x 26”
