Allow me to recommend a set of dirt cheap non-series shimanos. Great brakes and perfect for a lockup bike.

That bike rules and deserves brakes that don’t suck and somehow only cost $38 per.

The only acceptable story of this I’ve heard was a dude walked into my old shop and asked if we had his bike. He wasn’t sure where it was and figured maybe he’d dropped it off for service, which he had like a month earlier. Turns out he dropped it off before burning man and then did drugs for 2 weeks in the desert and erased his fucking brain. When he came in looking for the bike was about about a week after burning man and he looked like he was still coming down.

Definitely flogging a dead horse here. I decided to triple clamp the seat tube and commute on my cracked frame for a week to see what happens. No surprise but after two commutes the crack got way bigger.

I cased a big jump on the race bmx the other day and heard a really gnarly pop and was immediately terrified I’d broken the frame, but everything looks good so I’m gonna assume it was spoke tension doing something and pretend jumping a light race bike while weighing over 200lbs is ok
