my superstition is that higher tension is stronger

low tension is wrong

high tension is wrong

just right tension is correct

I like them to vibrate in your hand

Dadgum dropper post gave up the ghost.

Looks like there’s a little nylon cord in there that frayed and broke. Could it be replaced? Probably not. this is so annoying I’m so tired of buying stuff and maintaining things.

Yep, snapped cord is the culprit.

$5 for a new cord kit from PNW

Hell yeah!

PNW is my kinda people!

That is so good info, I’m not quite as hard on shit as Rusty but I feel like maybe I should get a spare!

The move to the PNW from California, appropriate the name and sell rebranded tranzx and other Chinese alloy components with different image screens? Ok

Hi, I see you are new to Capitalism. Welcome, it is comfy here.

They also sell other stuff, too.

But maybe you are against people providing some decent customer service, spare parts, etc.

capitalism would have them move to south carolina or tennessee or something, not the PNW

Yeah I’ll admit I had some thoughts about PNW Components, and then I needed a 27.2 dropper and their website made it easy to find the right travel and lever and it has worked pretty good for like a year and a half now so no complaints

The first PNW dropper I bought was defective and their customer service was very prompt in replying even though I didn’t buy it from them. They weren’t able to help with a replacement because they were out of stock at the time, but it made me feel comfortable doing a return/exchange for the same model and the replacement was fine.

OK, after watching this video, I think I’ll just buy a new seatpost. This is a level of fuckin around that I simply don’t have time for.

Pawl let go in this 8 year old specialized/formula hub monday. Had to scooter it home. I munched a pawl a bit a couple years ago and never bothered to open it up, just been waiting for it to die. Guessing only two pawls have been working the past couple years.

Respect for getting all of the value out of it. An honorable existence!
