search the hoard: new wanted/looking for thread

Anyone have tools for cold setting a 126mm rear triangle to 130mm and aligning the dropout faces and willing to loan them? I can’t leave well enough alone and my free bike is costing me money.

you can do this in a variety of ways with cheap materials. you can do alignment with a string and bend the stays with a 2x4. you can also bend them with some threaded rod with nuts and washers.
or you can just stick the hub in there, it wont cause any problems.

126 to 130 is nearly within the tolerance of production bikes, if you have a large set of knipex to slightly tweak the dropouts it will be fine

If I can’t find one local tomorrow, I’ll just order one.

Yeah I mean I pried it open and shoved the new wheel in but figure I want to do it right. Maybe I’ll just 2x4 it

Try an e-bike centric shop atmo?

One just opened near my work but it seems to exclusively sell what would otherwise be DTC garbage bikes. No reputable brands are represented in their window display. I can’t imagine the shop will exist in a year.
That’s a good idea though I’ll try them.

looking for a shotgun or yepp style seat that will go between me and bars on a small gravel frame

also a 2-bike hitch rack but that’s definitely a local to me thing in San Diego

Have a yepp mini steerer mount seat. DM me
